Children's Trail at St Johns

Classes from both village schools helped launch a new Children’s Trail at St Johns. The trail was created by a small group of volunteers from The Arts Society Dukeries and comprises a question sheet for the children and an answer sheet for the accompanying adult. It is designed for children aged 8-12 with the aim of helping the children to look more carefully at the furnishings, fittings, art and history of this beautiful ancient building. The Year 5 class from Kingston Park Academy came along in the morning, while Year 6 from Ramsden Primary attended the afternoon session. All the children worked hard, behaved very well and hopefully learnt lots from the experience. The trail is now available in St John’s for future visitors.
